Job Summary / Role Overview:

  •  General knowledge & awareness about various Drilling Process in terms of TRS Operations, Drilling Handling Tools/Equipment’s such as V- Door, Automated Catwalk, Pneumatic Winches, Rotary Table, Top Drive System, Main deck, Rig floor, Driller’s console, Travelling Block, Kelly Swivel, Various CSGs, Drill pipes, BOPs Well Head, Stabbing Board, Manual Tongs, FMS, RMS, Spider Slips –Pneumatic/Manual, Single Joint Elevators, Safety Clamps, Jaws etc.
  • Handles TRS Smart and Conventional Tools for Running Casing/Other Tubulars-Tubing’s etc for lowering Various sizes of CSGs/Tubing’s along with other associated Drilling tools and Tubular on the Rig floor. Rig-Up and Rig –Down Operations & Maintenances, troubleshoot during CSGs Running Operations each time Casing Depths completed for the Well and Other Associated arising out during Drilling Operations.
  • Assist the TP/ Driller in all operations needed before, during & after the TRS Jobs on the Rig Floor.
  • Knowledge & Understanding of Features, Benefits of Smart TRS Tools/Equipment over Conventional Casing Running Tool of Makes
  • Must be familiar and identify when Well Influx entered the Well Bore while TRS Operations.
  • Must be familiar with the TRS Smart and Conventional Tools –Their utility /functions while CSGs/Tubing’s stuck during the TRS Operations.
  • Knowledge of Installations and replacements of all Hyd. High-pressure Hoses required for the running of TRS Smart /Conventional Unit i.e. Power Tongs.
  • Must know Maximum Push Down Capacity, Maximum Drilling Fluid Pressure, Maximum Torque, Max Operating Speed of Smart TRS equipment – CRTI/CDS/ODS etc.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of Make-Up and Break Out Torques required for the Various Sizes of CGSs/Tubulars lowered for the Section of the Fresh Wells Drilled / Well Completions of Different Types of Wells.
  • Must have knowledge Speed of Rotation of TRS Smart Tools/Equipment during Release of Stuck Situations during TRS Operations.
  •  Must have knowledge of Operations of Fill-Up Tool in regular intervals to maintain Well Bore Pressure balance.
  • Actively participate in TBT/pre-tour meeting, Understanding of Job Plans with the drilling crew for TRS Operations & Safety matters such as Pinch Point, Line of Fire during Picking Up CSGs for TRS Operations etc.
  • All loads bringing equipment to & from the rig floor with the Crane/Winches are slung properly and have tag lines attached during Rig-Up and Rig Down TRS Equipment.
  • Signal Crane Operator in bringing equipment to and from the rig floor in a safe and effective manner without any incidents.
  • Grease, lubricate, and undertake minor repairs to TRS Equipment/ Units and associated Rig floor equipment and inspect that is directly related to the TRS operation.
  •  Change Rollers, Replace Leaking Hoses, Grapples or Packers, Jaws and other defective parts of TRS Equipment as the case may be using hand tools and personal protective equipment for safe operation.
  • Carry out regular maintenances of TRS Equipment /related Equipment; and paint them by preparing metal surface for paint using scrapers, portable air operated tools, wire brushes, etc.
  • Perform daily inspection and preventive maintenance on TRS Equipment while using safe operating procedures and with the use of proper PPE with all Crew members.
  • Assist Driller/Tool Pusher for all Rig Floor Operations while and Before TRS job as & when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have knowledge & understanding of Types of TRS Smart Equipment – External and Internal System with Different Capacities and Sizes and Other features required to Run and Operate for smooth and efficient TRS jobs.
  • Must be familiar with the Operations/Maintenance of TRS Equipment –Smart or Conventional of different Capacities/Sizes/Make used in Nowadays work environment for various sizes of CSGs and Tubing’s for well completions. Must have knowledge of Operations and maintenances of Air Winches, Slips, Spider Elevators, FMS/RMS and other equipment’s required for Lowering Casings of All Sizes as per Well Design of the Customers for Well Integrity & Completing the Well successfully.
  • Good Knowledge & understanding of TRS Equipment with Centre of the Rotary Table/Well Bore is very important aspect of Safer, Smooth and Faster TRS Operations.
  • Knowledge of Installations of Smart TRS equipment with TDS, Anti Rotation Bracket, Grapples/Packers Use of JAM/CAM Unit Operations, Operations of Control Panel etc, Pre-Checks and Functions Tests of TRS Equipment before the Starts of the Operations.
  • Lubrication of all hinge’s pins & adjustment of Smart TRS Equipment / Tools with TDS is must for a smooth Operations.
  •  Must Run Function Tests Smart TRS equipment, HPU, Conventional TRS Equipment – Power Tongs as per the Checklist which Includes Rotation of Rollers, Functions of Motor, Pressure Gauges, Calibrations of Functions of Controls and Flow Valves, PRV etc.
  • Must be familiar with the Packer installed with Smart TRS Equipment and its Sizes according to various CSGs used, Holding Pressures with various Sizes CSGs/Tubulars.
  • Must have knowledge of Grapple/ Packer activations during Well Influx, Fill-Up Tool Control etc.
  • Must be familiar with the Torque Turn System – JAM/Jam-Pro/CAM Unit operations used for the accuracy of Torque of the Various Sizes of CSGs and Tubing’s.
  • Report all near misses and injuries immediately to the supervisor
  • Needs to be aware of safety procedures & precautions related to the operation.
  • Need to have high level of physical & mental stamina to work in shifts that can be longer than 12 hours for weeks when TRS Jobs/CSGs RI is going On.
  • Skills in reading & interpreting instructions, as well as Good Oral communication.
  • Team Spirit – Providing general support to TRS Team and Drilling crew as & when required.Required Qualifications– Minimum 03 years’ experience in Drilling Rig in Onshore / Offshore (Jack up rig, Drillships), or Minimum High School with ITI certificate course.Preferred Skills

    – Hands exp in CRT tool and in Jam unit.
