Exposure of functioning of various types of BOP (Annular Preventer, Ram type preventer) and BOP stack for 2CP,3CP & 4CP wells, Choke & Kill manifold, BOP Control Unit etc.
Knowledge of different handling tool (Kelly/ top drive, Elevators, slips, hydraulic & mechanical tong, spinners, derrick floor winch etc).
Exposure of tubular (Drill Pipes, Drill collars, Heavy weight Drill Pipes, tubing, types of stabilizers, crossovers etc.) and functioning of Drill String.
Knowledge of rotary BHAs.
Knowledge of motor operations.
Knowledge of MWD and gyro surveying.
Knowledge of bits.
Knowledge of well design and planning of directional.
Knowledge of drilling jars.
Knowledge of sidetracks.
Key Responsibilities:
Skilled in bits (including selecting and using bits for motor BHAs).
Skilled in drilling jars (including basic operation)
Skilled in making well plans.
Skilled in motors (including selecting, operating and dealing with problems with motor BHAs).
Skilled in using MWD and gyro surveys.
Skilled in planning BHAs (including rotary and motor BHAs, calculating hydraulics and T & D).
Skilled in sidetracks (including doing a side tracking).
Make sure all the BHA components are at the rig site as per proposed BHA
Ability to prepare the equipment list at the rig.
Ability to prepare fishing diagram of every BHA component
Import well plan into the drilling software and confirm the validity of the same
Ability to generate a good rapport with company man.
Ability to prepare and QC daily drilling reports to company man and town
Ability to control NPT due to malfunctioning of directional tools.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering- 2 years relevant experience
Diploma in Engineering- 5 years relevant experience
Onshore + Offshore experience.
Experience in multiple countries and clients preferred.
Preferred Skills: BGHE Schooling Certificate is required.
